The LiveLink-Ecosystem

All DALI devices at a glance

The LiveLink ecosystem includes all components for intelligent light management within the building automation. The devices certified to the DALI-2 standard enable the flexible and precise control of lighting in various environments ranging from offices and retail lighting to industrial applications and outdoor lighting around buildings.

Dali-Luminaires

DALI-2 luminaires are compatible with the DALI-2 standard and can be controlled via the TRILUX LiveLink system. Individual address-setting and control enables precise regulation of brightness and other lighting parameters such as motion detection, general light, sequences and HCL curves. The combination of LiveLink with suitable DALI luminaires and other ecosystem devices achieves increased energy efficiency, more convenience and flexibility as well as greater safety.

Dali-2 Sensors

The LiveLink ecosystem uses intelligent DALI-2 sensors with different technologies for detecting people. The sensors for ceiling mounting detect both movement and the presence of people, and some are equipped with a light sensor that automatically adjusts the lighting to the desired level.

When commissioned with the LiveLink ONE app within a LiveLink WiFi installation, the system uses factory pre-configured sensor functions. The entire system is immediately ready for operation after the first start of the LiveLink ONE app (plug & play).

Control Elements

When operating the LiveLink light management system manually, the control commands are executed by pressing a button. Alternatively, LiveLink systems can be controlled via an app. The information is forwarded to an executing LiveLink control device via the DALI interface or wirelessly via EnOcean push-buttons.

  • Push-button coupler

The LiveLink DALI-PB4 push-button coupler is used for the secondary connection of 4 commercially available potential-free push-buttons.

  • LiveLink RF Pushbutton Kit

The LiveLink RF Pushbutton Kit consists of the LiveLink Enocean Gateway and an Enocean switch (2-gang and 4-gang rocker switch).

  • BACnet touch panel

BACnet touch panel for operation within a LiveLink Premium system.

Actuators

DALI-2 switch actuators are components of the LiveLink ecosystem that can switch electrical loads. They receive control commands via the light management system and switch the connected devices on or off accordingly.

LMS DALI-2 RELAY

TRILUX proprietary DALI-2 switch actuator for cavity boxes and ceiling installation.

LMS DALI-2 RELAY DINRAIL

TRILUX proprietary DALI-2 switch actuator for DIN rail mounting.

Extensions

To operate a DALI installation with more than 64 devices per DALI line, either several LiveLink control devices or control gateways can be operated in parallel, or DALI repeaters (installed in the ceiling or mounted on DIN rail) can be used. The DALI repeaters of the LiveLink ecosystem can also be used to extend the DALI line once from 300 to 600 metres.

The repeaters galvanically isolate the bus devices and cascading is possible. The DALI repeaters of the LiveLink ecosystem can be operated as extenders as well. All DALI devices such as push-button couplers, sensors and luminaires can be connected here because all signals are sent bidirectionally in extender mode. Only one repeater/extender can be connected to a LiveLink DALI output.

LiveLink Cloud connection

Modern lighting solutions with light management systems enable the simple realization of digital added value. LiveLink solutions can be easily registered in the cloud. The "monitoring-ready" luminaires from TRILUX then allow the operating parameters of the lighting system to be monitored. This provides customers with a wide range of options: from analyzing energy consumption and lighting duration to the cost and CO2 savings achieved compared to an old system and predictive maintenance.

Connection to the building management system

LiveLink provides users with a light management system that is suitable both for automated light control and for interaction with other systems within a building management system.

KNX

The LiveLink KNX interface enables LiveLink systems to be integrated into a KNX-based building automation system. The gateway serves as an interface both at telegram level and at data point level with up to 1000 communication objects. The connection is made via a LAN interface.

MODBUS

Modbus is an open communication protocol widely used in industrial automation. Modbus can be operated in conjunction with LiveLink via the Ethernet interface.

BACnet

BACnet is an open communication protocol that enables communication between different systems and devices within a building. It standardises the way devices from different manufacturers exchange data and supports a variety of network technologies such as Ethernet, IP and others.
