Our Living Contrasts program kicked off on the 21st of April 2022 at the Hamburg Fish Auction Hall. In the newly developed event format, we were able to exchange ideas with our customers more intimately and in greater depth than at classic trade fairs. In the 800 m2 TRILUX City, visitors experienced our innovations 'live and in colour' in their natural environment. A varied supporting program of workshops and lectures ensured a high technical depth and an inspiring exchange.
More than 200 guests joined us for a competent, practical, and interactive opportunity to learn about light and all its facets and potential in the unique Hamburg setting. Various themed stations presented the key industry innovations and solutions for all applications, focusing on quality, smartness, individualization, and sustainability. The accompanying program offered many surprising insights and outlooks into the lighting market.
Additionally, there were a few short presentations on Smart Office, Industry 4.0, Lighting close to buildings, and Light as a Service, plus a choice of inspiring keynotes on the main stage - for example, from Christian Buchholz on 'New ideas on aspects of sustainability' or from Martin Stiebeling on 'The Phygital Office.' Perfect for those with a thirst for knowledge and a desire to ask questions, two break-out rooms offered challenging and informative expert presentations on topics like the Ecodesign Directive and RoHS, wireless networking, and lighting quality.
Conception and implementation of the new format was a mammoth task. Twenty-five people were busy for three days with the construction of the TRILUX City in the fish auction halls alone. In total, five trucks were unloaded, 550 metres of exhibition construction system were set up, five kilometers of cable were laid, and 157 TRILUX luminaires were integrated into the TRILUX City. "Due to the positive feedback from customers and colleagues, I can certainly say the effort is already worth it, even after the first event," Michael Blum, Managing Director of Sales Germany at TRILUX, sums it up.
"There is only one thing left to say, thanks to those who attended and a warm welcome to anyone attending one of the following events. See you in the TRILUX City!"
