The Heidelberg international comprehensive school in Germany prepares over 1,800 pupils for the serious side of life. Tolerance of others, promoting peace and protecting the environment are just some important topics communicated there. The last point is effectively demonstrated thanks to the energy-efficient refurbishment of the 20,000 m2 school complex – energy savings of 89% is now achieved just via the new LED lighting technology from TRILUX.

Intelligent luminaires respond to the user’s personal needs and adapt the lighting constantly to changing conditions. Just how they now are, how digitalization is influencing the lighting industry, and what motion sensors do is something we asked Dietmar Zembrot at TRILUX.

The world-famous Cheltenham Racecourse is set in a scenic location in a natural amphitheatre just below the Cotswold Hills. Its most prestigious meeting is the Cheltenham Festival, held annually in March, which features several Grade I races including the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle, Queen Mother Champion Chase and Sun Bets Stayers’ Hurdle.

To ensure this continues in the future the company decided to construct a new headquarters in Telgte. They now benefit not only from lean operational procedures but also from an ideal energy balance. Compared to the previous location around two thirds less power is used, made possible with efficient LED luminaires from TRILUX and an ambitious lighting concept that, amongst other factors completely dispenses with light switches.

Team Dentalis views itself as a centre for innovative dental medicine. The five dentists have each specialised in at least one treatment area including root canal treatment, orthodontics, implantology and aesthetic dentistry. The aim of the Dentalis specialists is to ensure the patients’ beaming smile at the end of each treatment, which takes not only a wealth of experience and knowledge, but also modern practice equipment. This naturally includes the lighting system TRILUX has realised in the new building construction for the practice.

It always helps to dress up if you want to connect to a wider audience. Precisely this is what happened in the North Rhine-Westphalian town of Meschede where a central meeting point on the lake was skilfully upgraded. Tourists and citizens can now once again use the area for strolling and as an event location: the prestigious multi-million Euro project is illuminated in perfect light by TRILUX.

This was the path followed by SMPTec together with TRILUX as their lighting partner in the Swiss town of Ennetmoos, and managers are now highly pleased about outstanding visual conditions, maximum efficiency and a future-safe lighting system.
