Arnsberg, April 2025 - Lighting management systems have become a standard feature in new builds and refurbishment projects, helping users reduce energy consumption, optimise lighting conditions, and enhance ease of use. Now, TRILUX is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with its latest innovation: the new LiveLink Premium Controller. Compact, scalable and efficient, the controller fits into a 6TE DIN rail housing and can control up to 500 DALI-2 devices – making it ideal for medium-sized projects.
LiveLink Premium Controller
TRILUX’s LiveLink system is a proven and comprehensive solution for intelligent lighting management. Based on open standards such as DALI and Bluetooth, it is available in tailored versions for different applications and building sizes and has been successfully implemented in thousands of projects. The intuitive LiveLink One App, which won the German Innovation Award 2024, simplifies setup and operation. Cloud connectivity adds extra functionality, helping planners and users meet evolving requirements and certification criteria with ease.
The new LiveLink Premium Controller has been introduced as a cost and space saving alternative to the existing LiveLink Premium Server, which remains the go-to for large-scale projects involving up to 2,000 devices. With support for up to 500 DALI-compatible devices—including luminaires, sensors and control units—the new controller is perfectly suited for schools, sports halls, supermarkets, hotels, office buildings, and production facilities. Its compact design saves valuable space in the switch cabinet and simplifies installation.
Thanks to miniaturised electronics, TRILUX has integrated multiple modules that previously required separate components into the Premium Controller’s compact 6TE DIN rail housing. The unit combines a Premium Server, power supply, Ethernet switch, DALI interface, and switching relay in one. Depending on the size of the project, it supports up to five LiveLink Premium Ethernet DALI gateways (each with 2 DALI lines), controlling up to 500 devices across a maximum of 11 DALI lines. This modular approach simplifies planning and saves material, energy, costs and space in the control cabinet, making small to medium-sized systems significantly more economical and accessible than ever before.
The controller also supports a wide range of advanced features as standard including visualisation via lighting or building plans, the option of using the TRILUX LiveLink Cloud with dashboard, live view, monitoring and remote control via Ethernet IP/router and the option to integrate light management into building management systems via corresponding gateways. A convenient feature for on-site commissioning is the integrated USB interface, which supports WiFi dongles—allowing the LiveLink ONE app to be used even if no IP network is available onsite.
